Here is Rae with a little bit about her pattern company:

Made by Rae makes simple and basic patterns that you can learn to sew on and are easy to vary. Each one is a staple pattern for your children’s wardrobe.

One of her patterns has become very much a staple for Kid’s Clothes Week: the flashback skinny tee. Every season a ton of flashback tees pop up in the project pool. No wonder–it is a simple pattern that works in so many different ways. Rae has many tutorials on her blog for changing up the basic flashback tee pattern

Another of Rae’s patterns, the geranium dress, was featured in both Brienne’s post about how to make clothes that layer well and Laura’s post on making clothes that work for summer and winter. In addition to layering well and working for many seasons, the geranium dress is super cute! Rae also has a tutorial for adding trim to your geranium.

But what about the bottom half of your child? Rae’s got that covered too. Her parsley pants pattern is amazingly versatile. She’s got a tutorial for upcycling parsley pants and reinforcing their seams. But maybe your little one isn’t out of diapers yet? Well there is a Made by Rae pattern for those babies too–The Big Butt Baby Pants!

  • Reply Nathalie B. January 23, 2014 at 3:22 am

I love Rae’s patterns. The FSBT was my first sew with knits, and I’ve sewn it multiple times since. Same as the Parsley pants : my older boy has several pairs, in corduroy, denim, cotton, and also as pajam pants. Also live the Charlie tunic, fun to sew for boys and girls alike !
    I haven’t tried the Geranium yet…
