There are the yellow boats inspired by Curious George making paper boats in Curious George Rides a Bike. Pretty vintage prints inspired by the drawings of Gyo Fujikawa. And did you know there is an entire series going on right now about sewing clothes inspired by the illustrator Marcel Marlier?! That pretty dress up there is just one of the many garments in the series.

1. elephant & piggie by Ren 2. moon rabbit by Meritxell 3. planet of mars shirt by Molly 4. the miffy dress by Lisa

And would you look at that Elephant and Piggie sweater up there?! Gerald is handing Piggie an ice cream cone button! This is good stuff, people. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. Moon Rabbit, Shel Silverstein, and Miffy? They are all represented along with so many more children’s books. Some of which I haven’t even heard of, but now I’m excited to check out!

Are you working with the theme this season? What kid books inspire you?

I can’t tell you how happy I am to be featured here :))) I hadn’t seen it yet (happy dance, indeed)
KCWs are always so busy around here (sewing, photographing and blogging) that I’m still trying to catch up with all the gorgeous projects in the gallery – so much inspiration to keep me busy until the next KCW.
    Thank you so much 😉
