Welcome to day 3 of Kid’s Clothes Week! With Halloween right around the corner and this season’s theme being STORYBOOK, a lot of amazing costumes are popping up in the KCW project pool.
1. bat hood by Teri 2. knight hoodie by Shelley 3. the grasshopper by Amanda 4. butterfly by Nicoletta
Some of them aren’t Elsa! Can you believe it?! I am particularly smitten with the grasshopper pictured above. The outfit is inspired by the grasshopper in James and the Giant Peach. That green coat is a full on dress coat with tails! Amanda sewed the entire outfit and you can read more about it on her blog.
1. pim piloot pants by Maartje 2. wonderland by Roxanne 3. reversible jacket by Nicoletta 4. retro outfit ona by Natalie
Of course there are many plain ol’ clothes that are fantastic too! I am always amazed with how you guys make clothes that are kid-like but some how sophisticated at the same time. That is no small feat!
The Sew Modern giveaway is now closed! The winner is Katherine Houston. Congratulations, Katherine! You’ve won a pack of a giant stack of lovely fabrics from the Sew Modern shop! The Whipstitch giveaway ends tomorrow. You can win classes to learn pattern making, sewing with knits, or even making a slipcover. You can also win kid clothes patterns that come with video instruction! So what are you waiting for, go enter!
Good Luck and Happy KCW!
