That’s a wrap folks! Another fantastic season of Kid’s Clothes Week has flooded the internet with creative and beautiful handmade children’s clothes. Season after season you blow me away with your creativity and your skills! Some of my favorites from the season are pictured below. The first collages showcases a beautiful and super modern fall pallette: rich navies and purples, muted browns and yellows, and light grays and pinks. Eat your heart out Pantone!

This season’s theme was by far the most successful. All the clothes in the collage below are inspired by children’s books. You made costume-y clothes & everyday clothes all taken from you and your kids’ favorite storybooks. I think it was not only exciting for you to combine books and sewing, but I think your children were quite taken with how you made their favorite characters come to life!

And you have made many a little girl’s Frozen dreams come to life this season as well. I couldn’t wrap up this season without showing off all the Elsa and Anna (and a few Olafs) you made. Disney does not make things easy for us sewers with all of their satin-y, tuile-y ball gowns. That stuff is incredibly hard to sew! You guys came up with so many different, creative solutions to making an ice princess dress for a young girl. And now you can Let it Go!

If you are interested in being a contributor for an upcoming season on KCW, please email me at kidsclothesweek@gmail.com with a paragraph about yourself, a link to your KCW profile page, and a few photos of what you’ve sewn.  Happy KCW!

So much good sewing here!  I need to get my last project photographed and added to the database! Always a few days behind around here… but this theme sure was a good one so I just had to go for it.

Every KCW season is so much (sewing) fun, but this season’s theme was so perfect for children clothing 🙂
The projects were a wonderful source of inspiration (as usual).
Can’t wait for the next edition and for the return of the “Why I sew” series. Love it 🙂
