We’re more then halfway through #minimemademay!! How’s everybody holding up?! It’s exciting to see how this challenge goes as far as time wise. Each week brings a new perspective!
This week I’ve hit about 6 out of the 7 days again. And once again, it was all for my youngest! Swim lessons were a repeat swimsuit with the vintage Jalie bottoms and a RTW surf shirt, it’s the only one that really fits her right now, so I definitely to add some swimwear into my plans for the next couple of weeks, especially with the weather warming up! Tuesday was a repeat of the waterfall raglan I sewed her a few months back… it’s probably one of her favourite pieces, not sure if it’s the swing factor or the bold print?! Wednesday and Thursday (not pictured) were her Elsa PJs that I sewed about two weeks ago… like I’ve previously mentioned she wears them non stop… I almost need to make a second identical pair hahaha. Friday she wore her Carolyn Party dress that I made her for Easter with a pair of RTW leggings and she was SO happy! She just played around the house with it but it’s being loved so that’s all that matters to me. And Saturday she wore a safari raglan that I made last year I believe that still somehow fits her…
This week she was definitely getting annoyed with me though for asking for pictures as well (that’s why I did a flat lay of the one outfit!), so we’ll see how next week goes. I’m hoping to inject a few new outfits though in her wardrobe this week during the challenge season and try to focus a bit on the older kids so that they get some handmade they can wear daily! Thankfully though, this challenge has definitely brought to light what I’m lacking and what I need to get making!!
Reality has set in as we come to the end of week three. My kids are so over taking pictures (my little guy tried convincing me it was still April and we didn’t have to take pictures every morning way back then, lol!). We’ve also had lots of soccer games and dance recitals that mean uniforms and costumes instead of mama mades. Here’s the few outfits I did manage to capture this week. For Mother’s Day my girls wore a Striped Swallow Designs Midsummer Dream dress and a Soliel Skirt from Little Luxe Collection. My younger daughter wore a couple of her favorite handmade outfits this week but I only managed to get pics of this cute Project Run and Play Project Farmers Market look. My oldest daughter wore lots of handmade leggings this week and I grabbed a pic of her in her Love Notions Classic Tee. Now, my little man has caught on and is now trying NOT to wear his mom made clothes just to avoid the camera! He did wear this Thread Faction Ringer Raglan this week. We’ve made it over half way through the month! I hope you’re having fun following along. I’m loving seeing everyone’s #minimemademay posts over on IG.
