frequently asked questions

what is Kid’s Clothes Week?

A seasonal challenger where the goal is to work on making clothes for kids one hour each day for a week.

when does KCW happen?

For one week each season: spring, summer, fall, winter. We announce the dates on the blog and send out a newsletter about a month before KCW starts.

how many hours?

Work for 1 hour for sure, but you don’t need to set a timer. If the hour is up and you are still going strong, go with it!

how many days?

KCW is a whole week, that means every day for 7 days

do I have to sew every hour?

Not necessarily: pattern making, fabric cutting, seam ripping, they all count too.

do I have to have a blog?

No, not at all

if I do have a blog, do I have to blog about it?

Not if you don’t want to. It can get kind of crazy trying to sew and then blog about it the next day. You can always concentrate on sewing the week of KCW and then blog about all the lovely things you made the week after.

I’m in the southern hemisphere, can I still take part?

Of course! you will be working in the opposite season, but the challenge is still the same!
